The travel industry is being urged to cast their votes in the most hotly anticipated contest of the year: the TTG Gunger Games.
In the run-up to the TTG Travel Awards on September 19, we’re asking the nation’s travel community to make a donation to see one of four potential gungees humiliated in the name of Abta LifeLine.
All Leisure Group chief Roger Allard, White Hart Associates’ Chris Photi, Cosmos Tours & Cruises’ Giles Hawke and TTG Media’s very own Daniel Pearce will go head-to-head. The individual whose donation page reaches the highest figure by the end of the TTG Travel Awards ceremony will face the gunge tank two days later.
The fundraiser is in aid of Abta LifeLine, which awards financial grants to help colleagues suffering real financial hardship caused by life-changing medical conditions, bereavement, disability and domestic violence, among other things.
The charity’s director, Trudie Drake, said: “I am delighted TTG is supporting us. We rely on the generosity of the industry and individuals.”
Donations can be made online or by text ahead of the event, on one of four separate JustGiving pages. They will also be accepted at the TTG Travel Awards, with the loser announced at the end of the ceremony at London’s Lyceum Theatre. The gunging will be broadcast live on Facebook on Wednesday 21 September.
