Business Development Executive – North of England and Republic of Ireland

We are looking for a dynamic, focused and hardworking Business Development Executive based in Northern England and ROI. This role will involve frequent travel throughout the UK & Ireland as well as regular overseas trips to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America.
The role is primarily focused on developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the travel trade and ensuring that AMResorts’ eight unique brands and 60+ resorts in the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America and Europe consistently remain top-of-mind amongst travel agents and tour operator reservations staff.
A passion for delivering engaging, memorable and informative product training sessions and events is essential to ensure that our client stands out in a busy marketplace
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
Friendly and approachable with the ability to communicate eloquently and effectively on all levels and through a variety of channels
Ability to travel frequently and work occasional evenings and weekends (time will be given back in lieu)
Highly organised with the drive and motivation to work independently as well as contribute as a member of the UK Business Development Team
Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
Regular travel agency and tour operator sales calls and training sessions throughout region of responsibility.
Building strong working relationships with the travel trade including travel agents, tour operators, tourist boards and trade media
Creating and leading client product training presentations and webinars
Attending travel trade, consumer and media shows/events
Organising and hosting FAM trips to AMResorts’ destinations and properties
Regular driving is required therefore a full and clean driving license valid in the UK is essential (a company car will be provided)
The role requires the individual to work remotely from home, with four days per week on the road within the designated region plus one admin day. Regular evening work, overnight stays (where necessary) and occasional weekend work will be required.
