We are at an extremely exciting time for the Airport. Already widely considered as vital to the South West region’s economic growth, and with around 9 million passengers using the Airport each year, we are growing fast. The route network available from Bristol Airport is also growing, with direct flights to more than 120 destinations and frequent daily services to major hubs including Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin and Frankfurt – this role will be central to driving engagement with the leisure Travel Trade sector in the South West. Enhancing awareness of the airport’s route network and facilities, strengthening marketing capabilities and partnerships, and building Bristol Airport’s brand throughout the region and beyond.
As Business Development Executive you will be the main point of contact for the leisure Travel Trade sector in the South West – maintaining and developing relationships with personal travel consultants and sales and management teams across the store network of major holiday companies, national and regional independent travel agents and travel agent call centres - building relationships to drive sales, promote flying programmes, and build market and competitor knowledge.

You’ll spend your time hosting and attending travel agent management meetings, delivering engaging presentations, and conducting sales calls and site visits to gather information which create switch-selling opportunities that grow bookings and market share for the Airport.
This is a role where success is based on building great relationships, your ability to influence and delivering on commitments made. With your experience working in the Travel Trade industry, ideally in a sales or business development role, you’ll have great geographical knowledge of the South West & Wales region and an established network of Travel Trade contacts. Comfortable delivering against sales/revenue growth targets in a sales-driven environment, you could already be working as a successful travel agent, looking for your next step.
This role is being on a fixed term contract covering maternity for a period of between 6 and 12 months, commencing March/April 2018.
