Travel Industry Awards 2025 FAQs

Travel Industry Awards 2025 FAQs

Thank you for your interest in entering The Travel Industry Awards 2025. If you can’t find the answer you need below, please get in touch via email and we will be able to help:

Who can enter?

The Travel Industry Awards celebrates businesses and individuals from across the travel and tourism sector. The awards recognise travel agents, tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, hotel and resort operators, holiday essentials providers, travel technology providers, PR and representation companies and tourist boards – as well as special accolades including The John Hays Entrepreneur of the Year Award, The Travel Legend Award and The Diversity Trailblazer Award.

Your brand does not need to sell through travel agents in order to enter some categories. Please check the category criteria before entering.

How much does it cost to enter?

For all paid categories (Supplier and Fairer Travel), enter by Friday 4 April to secure the early bird rate of £299 + VAT. Entries made after 4 April will cost £349 + VAT.

However, after the early bird discount ends, the 3 for 2 offer becomes live! This means that when you enter two paid categories, you get the third for free – saving you £349 + VAT!

The following categories are free to enter:

  • Agents’ Choice (Small and Large)
  • All Travel Agent categories
  • All individual Fairer Travel categories (opening in June)

When are the deadlines for submitting entries?

All entries (not including individual Fairer Travel categories) close on Friday 23 May.

When will shortlists be announced?

Shortlists for Agent-Judged Supplier categories, Expert-Judged Supplier categories, Travel Agent categories and Fairer Travel categories will be announced w/c 10 June.

Shortlists for the individual Fairer Travel categories will be announced in August.

How will the awards be judged?

Agent-Judged Supplier Categories:
In eight of these categories, contenders complete a written submission, TTG's editors shortlist submissions, then TTG’s agent audience rate the shortlisted companies, with the average rating going on to form 25% of the supplier’s final score. Judging panels of expert travel agents drawn from our TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies 2025 assess the submissions (75% of the score) to decide the winner. Finalists in Ocean Cruise Line of the Year and Tour Operator of the Year - Large will be invited to a Zoom interview on July 7.

The two Agents’ Choice Awards to recognise trade support teams are both FREE to enter, require no written submission, and are based entirely on travel agent ratings.

Expert-Judged Supplier Categories:
TTG editors will shortlist submissions, and a panel of senior travel industry figures will evaluate them against set criteria to select winners.

Travel Agent Categories:
TTG editors will shortlist entries, and senior industry judges will review them in July to determine winners. Shortlisted agents will be invited to Zoom interviews on 8 or 9 July.

Fairer Travel Categories:
TTG editors will create shortlists, and senior industry figures will judge the submissions in July. Shortlisted entrants for Best Place to Work in Travel and Sustainable Travel Company of the Year will attend a Zoom interview on 7 July.

Individual Fairer Travel Categories:
TTG editors will shortlist submissions and consult with senior judges to select winners.

The panel of expert judges will be announced in May.

When will judging take place?

Judging for all categories (excluding individual Fairer Travel categories) will take place 7-11 July, while special categories judging will take place later in the year.

How will my information be used?

All Travel Industry Awards judges sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and aspects of judging entries, such as financial information is kept strictly confidential.

TTG will be using information shared during this year’s supplier categories for future insight projects to form a better picture of how the industry’s best companies are working with agent partners. Please note all data will be strictly anonymised and financial information kept strictly confidential.
