Suppliers who would like to be considered for a TTG Travel Award in 2017 must first choose their category and register to be rated by agents. The shortlists in each of these categories will then be decided by agent ratings alone. These top-rated suppliers will then be invited to submit an entry form that will be assessed by panels of industry figures; the agent rating will make up 50% of the score and judges’ decisions the remaining 50%.
These categories focus on searching out the very best individual travel agents in the UK and Ireland. All seven of the agent categories are FREE to enter and will require you to answer two key questions in detail, as well as providing a 100-word overview of your career history and key achievements.
Travel Company of the Year
For the first time this year, the Travel Company of the Year award will come from a field of those who have done most to work with the trade over the past 12 months, nominated directly by travel agents. The eight companies with the highest votes will be invited to meet with our judging panel, before they elect the Travel Company of the Year 2017.
On The Road Hero – the best supplier BDM or account manager, voted for by agents
The On the Road Hero of the Year category allow agents rating supplier categories for the awards to nominate their favourite travel business rep. The award will simply be given to the individual who polls the highest number of votes. Suppliers are NOT ABLE to self-nominate in this category.
PR & Representation Company of the Year NEW
For the first time, the TTG Travel Awards will celebrate the PR or representation company that is judged to serve the travel industry best! This category will be judged by experienced marketeers from outside the industry, as well as by senior travel industry figures. PR and representation companies are invited to tell us what makes them the best HERE. Our shortlist will then be voted on a panel drawn up from across the travel industry, before our winner is announced on September 18th.
Outstanding Contribution of the Year
This is a special award presented by the TTG Media team, which celebrates a unique individual who has made a sustained and lasting contribution to the travel industry. The winner could be someone who has changed travel on a national or international scale – or it could equally be an individual who has made a unique contribution to their local community, or charity.
