Flying with British Airways to beautiful Mauritius, agents will spend four nights at the legendary One&Only Le Saint Geran, which is setting new standards in luxury on the island thanks to a multimillion-dollar investment.
Long hailed as one of the most iconic luxury retreats in Mauritius, One&Only Le Saint Geran will of course retain what guests have always loved – the sense of seclusion from being on its own private peninsula on the north-eastern Belle Mare coastline, and a beachfront and calm lagoon unlike any other resort on the island.
Named after the nearby 18th-century shipwreck Le Saint Geran, the resort is around a one-hour drive from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital Port Louis. From the minute guests enter the grounds, they will feel the sense of calm of being surrounded by 60 acres of lush and tropical gardens, dotted with 4,000 palm trees.
One&Only Le Saint Geran now has 142 rooms and suites, each with their own private balcony or terrace, and the luxury 646sq metre Villa One, with 24-hour private chef and butler, is brand new.
Responding to client desires, more than 50 of the rooms are now connecting, and two and three-bedroom suites have been created too, making the resort an ideal retreat for families or groups.
“One&Only Le Saint Geran is now completely reborn. Our comprehensive redesign builds on what our guests already treasure, but we are also adding even more,” said One&Only Le Saint Geran's general manager Charles de Foucault. “We can’t wait for some of the UK’s luxury agents to see the resort for themselves.”
When it comes to enjoying leisure time at the resort, there’s a new pool, bar and restaurant to discover at the north end of the resort, while a peninsula pool next to the palm-strewn private beach has been added. There is also a secluded pool at the completely reimagined One&Only Spa.
There are now 13 treatment rooms at the spa, which continues its partnership with award-winning ESPA. Biologique Recherche and Harmonia by Francesc Miralles treatments will also be available, while treatments designed by revered podiatrist Bastien Gonzalez and the One&Only Hair Salon by Kerastase will ensure the spa really does offer a top-to-toe service.
The group will fly from British Airways’ amazing new home in Gatwick’s South Terminal, where all the airline’s flights now depart from in the airport.
You will enjoy Club World service and experience the new premium lounge which is 40% larger than the airline's previous one in the North Terminal. Flying Club World on this incredible trip, you will be able to relax on the 12-hour flight in a spacious seat that converts to a 6ft fully-flat bed and enjoy entertainment on your personal 10.4in flat screen and an Elemis amenity kit.
Ready for the Mauritian summer, British Airways is also increasing its winter frequency from November until March and will now offer five flights a week instead of three, which means more choices when flying to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International airport.
Also new to explore at the resort is Club One, a freshly created hub for all things active – from a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor fitness centre, to a new yoga pavilion in which to enjoy complimentary yoga and pilates classes.
There are also two Henri Leconte Padel Courts (a first for Mauritius), three floodlit tennis courts, mini-golf, football playground and a spinning room. Club One will also be a gathering place for families, who will find KidsOnly and One Tribe for Teens there.
When it comes to dining, the resort’s new executive chef, Marc de Passorio from Michelin-starred L’Esprit de la Violette in the south of France, has completely reimagined the culinary experience.
The new experiences now include a pan-Asian fusion restaurant Tapasake, and at PRIME, the focus is on the finest beef, fresh seafood and local produce. At main restaurant La Terrasse, chefs prepare a range of local and international specialities in open kitchen stations, while La Pointe will be the place to be for beachside dining. Last but not least, there is also now a coffee shop and traditional bakery, L’Artisan, at the resort.
More than 40 years after her doors first opened, the iconic “Grande Dame” of Mauritius is back – and ready to welcome the lucky agents on this latest ttgluxury Experience.
