Celebrate the historic launch of the first non-stop flight between the UK and Australia in two ways:

1 2

1. Take online training to win a place on a fam trip flying non-stop to Perth with Qantas!

You can win a place on the Tourism Western Australia/Qantas fam trip in May 2018*, flying on the Qantas Dreamliner directly from London Heathrow to Perth or one of 10 other prizes, by completing both the Qantas and Tourism Western Australia online training courses.

One lucky agent will join an exclusive fam trip departing on the direct flight connecting the UK and Australia next year. Ten further agents will win a case of delicious Western Australia wine and a pair of Qantas Business pyjamas. The names of all agents/consultants who have completed both courses by July 31 will go in the hat. The 11 winners will be drawn** and announced in August.

Take the training at aussiespecialist.com and qantasagenttraining.co.uk.

NB: If you completed the Western Australia module on Tourism Australia’s Aussie Specialist Program at any time between March 1, 2017 and May 8, 2017, you do not need to take the course again, and will automatically show as having completed the Tourism Australia's Aussie Specialist Program element; however you must also be sure to complete the Qantas programme to qualify for the competition. If you completed the Western Australia module before March 1, you will need to take the course again now, as the content has been updated. If you are new to the Aussie Specialist Program, then you should complete the three core Aussie Specialist modules, the Western Australia module and a (fifth) optional module, in order to qualify as an Aussie Specialist and to enter the draw. The Qantas course has recently been refreshed, so any agent who has previously completed it must complete it again between May 15 and July 31, in order to qualify.

2. Compete in our Non-Stop Flying Challenge to win a £100 Love2shop voucher!

Inside your copy of TTG this week you will find a paper aeroplane template, decorated in a landscape from one of Western Australia’s five different regions.

Using the instructions on the reverse of the sheet, fold it into an aeroplane. Then, we want to see how far you can fly your plane NON-STOP. You must film your efforts and share it on social media to prove your success. Share it using one of the following three methods:

  1. Go to facebook.com/traveltradegazette and post your video to TTG’s wall, using #nonstoptoperth
  2. Share your video on Twitter, using #nonstoptoperth and including TTG’s handle: @ttgmedia
  3. Share your video on Instagram using #nonstoptoperth and including TTG’s handle: @ttgmedia

The five agents who keep their paper aeroplane airborne for the most seconds (without using hairdryers, fans, blowing, or any other kind of cheating) will win a prize. The deadline to enter is July 31, 2017 and there is no limit on the number of times an individual agent can enter in this period, so keep trying! There will be five chances to win £100 Love2shop vouchers.

Winners will be announced in early August, and our favourite video clips shared on ttgmedia.com. If you need more planes so your colleagues can take part, you can download the five designs in A4 PDF format here:
