News, updates and cultural displays from across the stands at WTM London 2019.
A warm welcome to the official WTM London 2019 Preview which helps you prepare for what is set to be the biggest WTM London yet as we celebrate our 40th anniversary.
Building on the hugely successful theme “Ideas Arrive Here”, we will this year introduce three new principles – “Innovative Perspectives”, “New Possibilities” and “Inspiring Fresh Thinking” – into all aspects of the programme.
This year WTM London 2019 is launching London Travel Week (1-7 November) to bring together industry events and create a festival that will really shape the next 12 months of the global travel and tourism industry, while September saw the launch of BorderlessLive, a festival-style exhibition and conference for content creators to meet travel brands and destinations.
The International Travel & Tourism Awards (ITTAs) at new venue Magazine London on Tuesday 5 November celebrates the success of national, regional and city tourist boards, as well as outstanding private sector companies and individuals, while Travel Forward, the event co-located with WTM London, goes from strength to strength inspiring visitors by showcasing the next generation in travel technology.
Each year the WTM community grows and, for our 40th anniversary, we predict we will beat last year’s huge £3.4 billion generated from industry deals. WTM London is the must-attend event where ideas are inspired and contacts are made, with more than 51,000 senior travel professionals expected to visit over three days, including 9,000 buyers, 5,000 exhibitors and 3,000 media.
On Wednesday 6 November, we invite all visitors and exhibitors to join us to help celebrate 40 years of WTM London, with destination festivals taking place on stands as usual, alongside events on the Inspiration Zones. The WTM London team and I look forward to welcoming you in November!
