When Leicester City lift the Premier League trophy at the King Power Stadium next Saturday, it will be a victory for consistent delivery, dogged determination and most importantly, incredible team spirit, which have all conspired to help the club see off rivals with infinitely deeper pockets.
The Foxes’ incredible win put me in mind of our newly revealed TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies – not because any of our successful agencies were surprise winners, but because consistency, dedication, and team morale were what came through again and again in our research as the key factors in a winning business.
When we launched the TTG Top 50, we were very clear that it shouldn’t be another agent awards that recognises volume alone. After all, customers are more interested in service and expertise than they are in an agency’s turnover.
And we were also determined to create a programme that gave meaningful recognition to those branches and agencies that earned a place in the list, raising their profile and thereby helping them cement and grow their business.
The encouraging feedback we’ve had, including from the ceremony itself at The Vox in Birmingham last Monday, certainly suggests we’re on the right track.
It’s been amazing to see the impact it has already had on the agencies, from media coverage and loyal clients sending congratulatory flowers, to an unexpected €13,000 booking coming in from overseas.

And the momentum won’t stop here: we’re committed to fostering and profiling our TTG Top 50 agencies over the next 12 months, championing excellence in travel retailing wherever we can.
So hats off to Leicester City for their remarkable win – but the new TTG Top 50 list is the league that really matters!
