TTG has launched lots of exciting new initiatives during our first two years as an independent business, but none of them have quite come close to our Top 50 programme in terms of the response and excitement it’s created.
We were overwhelmed when 500 agencies and branches put themselves forward to be considered for the new scheme.
And when our team of journalists started interviewing the shortlisted businesses, we were even more overwhelmed by the stories of innovation, resourcefulness and sheer dedication that we uncovered.
What makes TTG’s Top 50 different from other agent awards is that we will not simply be rewarding agencies that deliver the biggest volume, but also those that have shown the most growth, the most originality, and the most commitment to working in partnership with suppliers.
And by profiling every single one of the Top 50 agencies in a special brochure and online, we’ll create a lasting record of those agents’ excellence that is meaningful for their customers.
Going out on the road to visit all 50 shortlisted shops was no mean feat – covering thousands of miles and sinking hundreds of cups of tea in the process – but it gave our editorial team a fascinating insight into the thriving businesses that are proving the high street is anything but dead.
Profiling our nationwide entrants, meanwhile, gave an insight into how larger companies are using technology more and more cleverly to deliver a level of customer service that, in a world where a customer is only one click away from booking with a competitor, keeps their clients coming back time and time again.
On the evening of April 25, we will be announcing the 50 stores and companies that have made it into the Top 50 list for 2016. But every single agency that made the shortlist is already a winner for getting this far.
