USA: Week-long itinerary ideas

This year marked the fourth consecutive Brand USA MegaFam that took place in May across the United States.

Over 930 agents registered their international flight bookings from the UK and Ireland to the USA, up by 87% from the previous year – an outstanding result.

Together with American Airlines and British Airways, we hosted 100 of the top-selling agents from the United Kingdom and Ireland on the fam trip of the year and the largest USA familiarisation trip in the industry. We were thrilled to have this opportunity to once again showcase the diversity of our country and the experiences which can be enjoyed here, and to equip travel agents with first-hand knowledge and confidence to sell the USA as a premier travel destination.

In partnership with both the airlines and our destination partners, Brand USA created seven unique itineraries to showcase the USA to, through, and beyond our gateways. For the first time we travelled beyond the continental USA and included Alaska and Hawaii in our itineraries, along with some of the most compelling destinations in our land. From exciting cities to the great outdoors, the groups enjoyed diverse landscapes and a range of experiences. In celebration of the upcoming centennial of the National Park Service on 25th August 2016 and the Brand USA giant-screen film, National Parks Adventure, which promotes these special treasures, each itinerary visited a national park.


Having enjoyed helicopter tours over pristine ocean, picnics in national parks, kayaking glacial lakes, hiking up live volcanoes, boat trips, horse-riding and much, much more, all agents flew to Huntington Beach, California, for an unforgettable finale. Here, agents not only experienced the laid-back beach attitude of Surf City USA, they also came together to share their newfound knowledge and experiences from across the USA.
