These are exciting times for Tourism Western Australia and our trade partners. The new non-stop service from London to Perth brings the opportunity to position Western Australia as a convenient holiday destination for UK visitors, as well as put Perth on the world map as the gateway to the rest of Australia. It comes at a time when redevelopments have vibrantly transformed Perth into a city that effortlessly blends urban cool with raw natural beauty. From the laidback capital, visitors can springboard into worldclass wineries, fringing coral reefs, miles of pristine coastline and iconic Outback adventures. Western Australia has a wealth of extraordinary experiences to offer and this landmark in aviation history makes them closer and more accessible than ever.

Tourism Western Australia
Next year, we’re launching our gamechanging direct route to Perth – the shortest and fastest version of the Kangaroo Route in its 70-year history! From March 2018, British travellers will be able to reach Australia in only 17 hours. We’re delighted to have Perth as our new hub, as, with a plethora of network options, this will truly open up Western Australia to the UK market. Customers travelling directly to Perth will also be able to experience a new level of comfort on our new Boeing Dreamliner 787s, designed to alleviate jet lag with improved air quality and fitted with technology to reduce air turbulence. Along with the new Qantas Premium Lounge opening at Heathrow Terminal 3 later this year, there will be no excuse not to take a trip down under!
