Award HUH! What is it good for? Well actually...

We’ve seen them in cabinets; we’ve seen them on desks; we’ve seen them in window displays. We’ve even heard that one has pride of place in a downstairs loo… Yes: those of you who were lucky enough to take home a gorgeous “TTG” last September have certainly made the most of them.

But while our shiny new trophies will remain the same this year, we’ve listened to your feedback and made several improvements that we hope will see the TTG Travel Awards 2016 our most successful yet.

We’ve simplified the submission process, and allowed for greater flexibility in the kind of information you can supply. For the first time, we will only require those suppliers who secure the best agent ratings to complete a written submission online. And an all-new approach to our Travel Company of the Year category will see only agents’ very favourite suppliers be put forward on this most prestigious of shortlists.

This year, our agent categories will focus entirely on the individual agents who’ve had a shining performance in the past 12 months, with eight different agent trophies up for grabs, including a new search for the UK and Ireland’s most promising young travel agent.

Our On The Road Hero category is back by popular demand, to recognise the trade teams who visit agents, week in, week out (so you can expect your local account managers to be launching a charm offensive).

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be going home with a TTG under your arm on September 19, turn to pages 12-13 or see ttgtravelawards.com for all the details.

With our robust combination of agent rating and expert judging panels, and the widest range of categories for individual agents, we’re confident that a TTG trophy means more to agents and suppliers than any other. And with the Lyceum Theatre – home of The Lion King – and London’s iconic Savoy hotel once again confirmed for the awards ceremony and after-party, the TTG Travel Awards 2016 also promises to be a night like no other.

I hope to see many of you there, and best of luck!
