In this issue: All the winners from this week’s annual TTG Travel Awards event
It was Theodore Roosevelt (and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini) who said anything that’s worth having can only be gained through hard work. And that couldn’t be more true of the TTG Travel Awards – the toughest awards in travel, and the most rewarding to win.
Well, all that hard work paid off for 29 companies and individuals on Monday night, when they took home one of our gorgeous new-style trophies.
With several new categories for 2015, and more travel agent categories than ever before, it was an honour to welcome the very best in travel to join us on stage at the Lyceum Theatre for their moment in the spotlight.
While every winner has proven their worth, a special mention must be made of Attraction World, which not only won in three different categories, but also claimed the TTG “Winner of Winners” gong for achieving the highest overall score.
While our finalists may have worked hard to enter the awards earlier this year, they certainly played hard on Monday night, enjoying stand-up from our hilarious host Jason Manford, party-rocking entertainment by Norwegian Cruise Line, and dancefloor action from The Lionels and Scott Mills. You can see all the photos online and there’ll be a special section in next week’s magazine.
We’ll also have photographic evidence of either MSC’s Giles Hawke or I facing a gunging, which, owing to a delivery delay (I wouldn’t be surprised if Giles is to blame), will now take place on Friday afternoon. So if you didn’t have chance to donate to the Family Holiday Association already, please, please either text “FHAS002” to 70970 to donate £5 to #GungeGiles, or text “FHAS001” to 70970 to #GungePip.
Thanks to every single person who entered, judged, sponsored and attended the TTG Travel Awards 2015, helping make it bigger and better than ever. We couldn’t have done it without you!
