AWTE set to celebrate Irish expansion

It will be the AWTE’s first organisation created outside of the UK and marks its intentions to “expand internationally”, the charity said.

To celebrate the milestone, a dinner and drinks reception sponsored by Aer Lingus will be held at the Morrison Hotel in Dublin on April 11.

Tickets to the event are available for €20 with guests entitled to a 50% discount on membership fees if they join the AWTE on the day of the launch.

The AWTE has also launched an online training scheme for its international members.

Foudned in 1954, the organisation provides women in the travel industry with a programme of development seminars, workshops and events for business improvement and networking.

It is a non-profit group and is run voluntarily by a board of senior figures in the travel sector.

Debbee Dale, chair of the AWTE said: “April 11 is an exciting milestone for the AWTE as we extend our membership to Ireland. The event will be an opportunity for women from the Irish travel industry to gather and enjoy the networking and development opportunities enjoyed by our members in the UK.

“The special rate we are offering guests on the night will be a one off, so we encourage people to spread the word and share the news that the AWTE has officially arrived in Dublin.”
