With almost 60 years of travel and tourism experience, the founder of Abercrombie & Kent talks exclusively to TTG, in the latest of a series of Face To Face sessions.
In conversation with TTG Luxury’s editor April Hutchinson, the co-chairman of the luxury tour operator reflects on changes happening in the global tourism sector, during his first trade interview since the pandemic took hold.
Kent assesses the recovery arc for travel post-Covid-19, how consumer behaviour has changed, and the role of the travel agent – one he believes will become more important than ever before.
He also talks about the impact this pause on tourism is having on funding for vital conservation and wildlife projects and how he sees this as "Africa’s moment" once travel does get going again.
