The carrier’s refurbished lounge will welcome those who have just landed at Heathrow’s Terminal 3.
The American lounge in T3’s arrivals hall has been closed for several months while it underwent a facelift, which has included the installation of 29 “spa-like” shower rooms.
Other improvements include a new menu, designed by caterer Rhubarb, which runs the Sky Garden restaurant in London, as well as providing services to events at the Royal Albert Hall and Goodwood.
The lounge also offers a coffee and champagne bar, express clothes pressing service, business centre and meeting room.
Gemma Ward, American’s manager of premium customer services for Europe and Asia-Pacific, said: “Our newly designed arrivals lounge reaffirms our presence and commitment to enhancing the customer experience in London, the city that pioneers international premium travel.”
