They will join a packed agenda and full-day line-up for the new event, a conference which will also celebrate 10 years of event creation and management under the ttgluxury umbrella.

The ttgluxury Summit will be held at Corinthia Hotel London on October 18 and will welcome anyone working in, or with an interest in, luxury travel.

“Since we launched the ttgluxury brand over a decade ago, it has become synonymous with quality editorial, events, thought leadership and trendwatching in luxury travel,” said editor April Hutchinson.

“This new-style conference will leave delegates in no doubt as to the luxury travel trends and opportunities they should be taking advantage of and what is likely to impact their business.”

For the first time in this new format, the event will be held in association with Celebrity Cruises as headline sponsor.

“I’m delighted to bring this event to market alongside an innovative brand like Celebrity Cruises, which is set for an eventful year itself with the launch of Celebrity Edge,” added Hutchinson.

Speakers and companies on stage at the ttgluxury Summit will include the following:

Stylus

Key to the event will be an exclusive keynote session by Stylus, a leading innovation, research and trends firm.

Through a mix of reports and consultancy, Stylus helps businesses make sense of global consumer lifestyle and product trends, providing key insights to help stimulate innovation and growth.

Using their unique lens, the Stylus team will filter a whole range of trends and assess their impact on the luxury travel sector, as well as highlighting those trends already leading the way in the sector and what can be learned from them.

What3Words

Giving their vision for global mapping and navigation and its impact on the luxury travel sector will be What3words, a revolutionary geocoding system for locations which divides the world up into a grid of 3m x 3m squares.

What3Words encodes geographic coordinates into three simple dictionary words (such as HelloBrownUmbrella) and is more accurate than any other global postal code system/geo-locator, which means travellers will never get lost finding their holiday destination.

The UK start-up is increasingly working with travel companies in a range of innovative and practical ways, which will be explored at the Summit.

Lydia Forte, Rocco Forte Hotels

Also joining the summit will be some of the rising stars of the hospitality business, including Lydia Forte, group director of food and beverage for Rocco Forte Hotels.

Daughter of Sir Rocco Forte and niece of Olga Polizzi, Oxford graduate Forte has carved out a strong path of her own on the hotel scene, overseeing the introduction of innovative concepts and management and performance of the group’s 11 restaurants and bars across Europe, Middle East and Russia.

Justin Salisbury, Artist Residence

Also taking part in the event is Justin Salisbury, founder of Artist Residence. An accidental hotelier, Salisbury and partner Charlie have built a respected portfolio of UK boutique hotels that put art and community at their heart.

Salisbury had to take on his parents’ Brighton hotel unexpectedly when he was just 20 years old, dropping out of university to do so, and has since opened four further properties – London, Penzance, Oxfordshire and most recently, Bristol.

Hannah Lohan, Hannah Lohan Interiors

Rising interior design star Hannah Lohan will join the ttgluxury Summit too, discussing modern design trends and influences.

Lohan heads up her design business from London with recent projects including The Dunstane Houses in Edinburgh, The Fish and Foxhill Manor in the Cotswolds, and Terry Venables’ boutique hotel in Spain, La Escondida.

Hannah Lohan Interiors also provides styling services for television, magazine, catalogue and advertising shoots, with Lohan having first discovered her passion for design while producing interiors programmes for the BBC and Channel 4.

Jimmy Carroll, Pelorus

Showcasing a newcomer to the experiential and adventure travel scene, the ttgluxury Summit will bring Pelorus to the stage.

Pelorus was started by ex-British Army officers Geordie Mackay-Lewis and Jimmy Carroll who have turned their passion for exploring remote regions of the world and expertise at leading reconnaissance units on long-range desert patrols and helicopter operations into setting up a travel business with a twist.
