The operator says the trade could be earning themselves more than £6,500 in commission if they switched onto the possibilities of private jet inclusive tours.

A booking for two on the Ultimate South America by Private Jet trip, which costs £32,465 per person, would generate a commission close to £6,500, based on the 10% the operator pays.

“With a product that is particularly suitable to the luxury market, our agent commission is especially attractive,” UK manager Katie Panagou said. “At the moment, about 30% of our bookings are coming through agents, particularly the smaller niche agencies.”

The operator highlighted the potential as it launched its 2016 Private Jet Collection, which includes a new 21-day Icons of Asia & Africa trip. Starting in Australia, the trip costs from £22,975 per person and runs from October 18 to November 7 2016. It departs from Sydney and takes in Angkor Wat, Cambodia; Mandalay in Myanmar; the Taj Mahal in India; Zanzibar and the Serengeti in Tanzania; Cairo, Egypt; and Jerusalem.

“The logistics involved in organising itineraries of this nature are almost beyond comprehension,” Panagou added. “They take years of experience and knowledge to engineer, but the real beauty of it is that our guests will have absolutely no idea of what goes on behind the scenes, either before or during the trip.”

The trips travel on a customised Boeing 767 with a maximum of 90 guests and the company also offers the Equatorial Explorer by Private Jet. Starting in London, the 25-day trip takes in Azores, Cuba, Guatemala, Panama, Peru, Galapagos Islands, Easter Island in Chile, Tahiti and Sydney and costs from £27,140 per person.
