The 14-day trip Bensley Trail trip will run from 16 February to 1 March, 2020 and will take in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam.
Bensley is known for his whimsical, creative and eclectic design projects, and this unique experience will include stays in four hotels designed by him in the region – Rosewood Luang Prabang in Laos; InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam; and his two Cambodian resorts, Shinta Mani Siem Reap and one of his latest projects Shinta Mani Wild, a tented camp that opened in the jungle last year.
Another highlight will be visiting Bensley’s home – Baan Botanica – and his design studio in Bangkok, as well as being entertained by the man himself at Rosewood Bangkok. He will also be leading a “hard hat” tour of his latest project on the banks of the city’s Chao Phraya river.
“I am honoured to be working with Remote Lands on this journey to showcase some of my favourite works of hospitality in these incredible destinations,” said Bensley, who is also a personal travel client of Remote Lands. “Luxury is stone-cold dead; our hotels are about teaching the history of these places and the experiences that are created. Their design is both environmentally and socially aware, that’s the key difference. The hotels we create are changing people’s lives.”
The Bensley Trail, which is limited to 16 guests, is priced from $37,888pp (around £29,000) excluding international flights. The trip can be booked via Remote Lands and is commissionable to agents.
