Hyatt Hotels Corporation has launched its 13th brand, one which will focus on bringing independent hotels into the portfolio.
Much as Marriott has Autograph Collection, Hilton has Curio and Starwood has Tribute Portfolio, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt will be a global portfolio of “upper-upscale and luxury properties that will maintain a distinct character”.
The hotels will be highlighted for their unique, independent character, but will become part of Hyatt’s customer loyalty programme and access operational and marketing resources.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt launches with properties including The Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas (above); the Hotel du Louvre in Paris; the Carmelo Resort & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay; and the Coco Palms Resort in Kauai, Hawaii, which will be refurbished and reopen in spring 2018.
“This gives us a new way to grow our offering beyond traditional hotel stays in destinations we know our guests love,” said Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive of Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
