The project includes 130 guestrooms designed by UK-based Tara Bernerd while Martin Brudnizki – also based in the UK – is creating the concepts for the restaurants, lounges and pool areas.

Alongside the hotel are 90 private residences, which have so far achieved more than $100 million in sales.

Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences is the third project the luxury hotelier has undertaken with Fort Partners, following Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club.

Founder of Fort Partners Nadim Ashi said Four Seasons was aiming to define Fort Lauderdale as a global destination and one that would “capture an international audience”.

Guestrooms will run from the fourth to 11th floors, while the residences, which Four Seasons will also manage, will begin on floor five.

President and chief executive of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts J. Allen Smith said the hotel would become the “best luxury lifestyle experience in the city”.

The project will have two pools, Four Seasons spa, fitness centre, Kids for All Seasons programme for children, and an all-day restaurant.

Four Seasons currently operates 110 hotels and has more than 50 projects under planning or development.
