VistaJet has said it is open to providing support for governments and medical organisations, specifically, offering complimentary flights for repatriation and coordinating with medical organisations to transport key medical supplies.

The firm, said to be the world’s largest private aviation company outside of the US, said it would also provide complimentary flights to transport medical professionals where necessary to locations requiring further assistance in tackling the virus.

“Everyone at VistaJet continues to assess how we can better serve our customers and the greater global community during these difficult times,” said Thomas Flohr, VistaJet’s founder and chairman. “This is an unusual time and one in which we must all work together where possible to do whatever we can to help. We don’t normally offer repatriation flights or the transportation of medical equipment, but ultimately, we are a logistics company and we are here to help the global community as much as we can.”

Governments around the world have been urging their citizens to return to their home countries as quickly as possible, but this has not always been possible with commercial airlines rapidly suspending flights, and countries putting travel restrictions in place.

VistaJet has now said it will offer complimentary empty-leg flights for governments, medical transportation and critical medical products.

The company has created a dedicated web page to channel all requests from governments and medical organisations to ensure prioritisation, address the most critical cases and manage the relevant safety screening.

VistaJet has a fleet of around 70 business jets, and usually focuses on corporate, government and private flying in 187 countries.
