Rosewood will work with British architect David Chipperfield to create its second hotel in the capital

Owned by global real estate investment firm Qatari Diar, the project will give Rosewood its second hotel in the capital and its sixth property in Europe, and comes on the back of its relaunch of the historic Hotel de Crillon in Paris in the summer.

British architect Sir David Chipperfield will oversee the design process, including the preservation of the building’s original, Grade II-listed facade. The hotel will have 137 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants, spa and six flagship retail spaces, as well as a grand ballroom with space for up to 1,000 guests.

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new venture, which will bring new life to this iconic building. The prestigious Mayfair neighbourhood embodies elegance, culture, and sophistication, making it the ideal location for Rosewood’s second property in London,” said Sonia Cheng, chief executive officer, Rosewood Hotel Group.
