Six Senses' second European ski resort will also have residences for sale - which come with the new electric Porsche Taycan

Located in the ski area of Kitzbuehel and situated in the largest protected habitat in Europe – the Hohe Tauern National Park – Six Senses Kitzbuehel is due to open in 2021.

The Austrian resort will have 77 rooms and suites, with Brudnizki’s designs said to “bring the outdoors in” using local and organic materials.

As well as the main hotel, 15 chalets and 45 apartments will also be for sale. The ski-in/ski-out chalets will feature four or five bedrooms and come with an all-electric Porsche Taycan, a new zero-emissions supercar, while residents will also have use of Porsche designed e-bikes.

A farm/forest-to-table concept will see chefs use produce from local mountain farmers and the on-site herb garden at the hotel’s restaurants, which will include The Kitchen and lodge-style The Tavern, while The Cabin bar and The Pantry will also feature in the F&B offering.

“It’s great to work with progressive developers who allow us to execute our vision and go to places never gone before,” Brudnizki said. “We challenge ourselves every single day on this project to stay true to our style, develop it further, and to deliver on the Six Senses out of the ordinary brand promise.”

As well as skiing, the resort said it will offer destination dining in igloos and tree pods, forest bathing in the woods and environmental education at its Earth Lab. Hiking, cycling and swimming will also be on offer in the summer, while the hotel will include a Six Senses Spa across three floors, with indoor and outdoor pools, non-invasive anti-ageing centre, a biohack lab and a kids’ spa.

Part of InterContinental Hotels Group, the Six Senses portfolio now includes 18 hotels and resorts and 30 spas in 21 countries under its Six Senses, Evason and Six Senses Spas brands, with a further 19 properties in the pipeline.
