Rome is set to see the opening of the city’s first “patisserie-inspired” hotel in early 2019.
The First Roma Dolce hotel is due to open in February on the Via del Corso offering a range of pastry-orientated elements, including a patisserie-style restaurant serving afternoon tea.
Guests will also receive homemade pastries on arrival while the boutique hotel’s 23 rooms and suites will feature pastry-inspired books.
The property will be housed in a historic 19th century building and will offer amenities such as in-room fitness equipment. Guests can also call on the services of a personal shopping consultant to assist with retail requests.
The First Roma Dolce is a sister property to The First Roma Arte, which is a five-minute walk away. Guests at the new property will be able to use the facilities at The First Roma Arte including the Michelin-starred restaurant Acquolina and a recently redesigned rooftop terrace.
Both hotels are part of The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts group and are members of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ L.V.X collection of properties.
A third property in the Italian capital, The First Roma Sensi, is due to open in late 2019.
