The event will take place online on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 October across two afternoons, bringing six hours of content and a host of speakers from around the world and a range of travel and hospitality brands.

From exploring how HNWIs are feeling about travelling and value shifts brought about by the pandemic, to assessing wider consumer and lifestyle trends that will help travel companies shape effective travel products and initiatives, the TTG Luxury Travel Summit will provide invaluable sessions for anyone working in the sector.

Exclusive keynote presentations from Mandy Saven, director of Consumer Lifestyle for trends intelligence experts Stylus, and Winston Chesterfield, founder of HNWI research and strategy agency Barton, will be joined on the line-up by a face-to-face with dynamic industry leader Jo Rzymowska, vice president & managing director, EMEA, Celebrity Cruises.

Also high on the agenda will be sustainability – rather a move to regenerative travel, a concept which suggests a place should be left in a better way from travel, and not merely ‘sustained’.

Covering this issue and the push for better travel will be Amanda Ho, co-founder, Regenerative Travel; Henry Comyn, co-founder, Joro Expeditions and co-founder, The Conscious Travel Foundation; and leading sustainability journalist and editor, Juliet Kinsman, author of Travel Easy Tips for the Eco-Friendly Traveller - The Green Edit, published last month.

“The TTG Luxury Travel Summit is a well-established sector-specific event, known for providing a host of insight and inspiration to those working in the luxury travel and hospitality sector – that’s no different this year. And there has never been a more crucial time to attend an event like this than this year, as the industry reshapes,” said April Hutchinson, editor of TTG Luxury and event moderator.

“Learning from others’ experiences and ideas and sharing best practice and imagination are key to trying to look beyond these darker days to a time when robust businesses will be able to plan the most incredible holidays for their clients once again – we hope those attending the Summit can take heart from that. Travel is paused, not ended forever, and certainly understanding the mindset of consumers and products they will look for as we emerge from this time is key.”

A session focused on public relations and communications strategy will look at how to keep a positive message in the media and among clients. Chaired by Hutchinson, the live panel will include Jules Perowne, founder of leading luxury travel PR agency Perowne International; Sam Strawford, brand communications director of global luxury hotel and trains group Belmond; and Paula Fitzherbert, director of communications, Maybourne Group, which includes Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley.

Also looking at brand and communications through an advertising lens will be a session by Michael Moszynski, founder and chief executive of London Advertising, who decided to invest this year in what he advocates, running a successful outdoor and TV advertising campaign for his own agency, voiced by Helen Mirren and Liam Neeson at the height of the crisis.

His session – The future of persuasion, influence, and how advertising is more relevant than ever – is sure to provide some thought-provoking ideas for delegates considering their marketing strategy in these unprecedented times.

Sharing their ideas from ‘across the pond’ on how luxury travel businesses can remain innovative and strategic will be leading New York agency boss Jack Ezon, founder & managing partner, Embark Beyond; and Norman Howe, founder, Howe & Co and former boss of Butterfield & Robinson. They will be joined by co-founder of Original Travel Tom Barber, while, Adam Twidell, chief executive of PrivateFly, a leading global provider of on-demand private jet charter, will discuss the growth and opportunity in this area.

Further key speakers are also set to be announced in the coming days, covering a range of areas, and the whole event will take place on TTG Media’s bespoke events platform, creating a full online conference experience, with key sessions plus networking opportunities.

“Usually, we would be meeting all our friends in the luxury sector at a beautiful London hotel for this event – part of our 13-plus year heritage of market-leading events in the luxury space,” said Hutchinson. “Of course this year, I will be hosting the event from home! I look forward to seeing people from wherever they are – one of the positives of an online conference is of course flexibility for attendees, and our opportunity to bring speakers from across the country and the world, to our audience.”
