London agency Travel Gallery is launching its own tour operator focusing on wellness holidays.
Wellness Gallery will offer breaks in Asia, including India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Travel Gallery’s managing director Farzana Dobbs told ttgluxury: “I have identified the need for a specialist B2B wellness tour operator; we want to be able to give retail agents a chance to book their clients rather than directing them to a website that doesn’t deal with agents.”
Agents will receive a minimum commission of 10% of the package including the wellness programme.
Wellness Gallery will feature retreats and resorts such as Atmantan in India, which co-hosted the operator’s launch in March, as well as Ananda in the Himalayas, Como Shambhala in Bali, Chiva-Som in Hua Hin, Thailand, and Vietnam’s Fusion Maia Danang.
“I envisage the first year as building on our expertise and broadening our products,” added Dobbs. “Our initial focus will be Asia but there are some fun additions around the world including yoga safaris in Africa.”
Dobbs said the operator was already considering expansion to offer Latin American properties such as Sol y Luna in Peru’s Sacred Valley and Chable Resort & Spa in Mexico’s Yucatan region.
Wellness Gallery will initially operate online; its website is set to go live in the next three months.
“After our launch we will be contacting agents who we have established relationships with for our specialist holidays to Sri Lanka,” said Dobbs.
