The opening of the hotel is a first for the Canadian-based hotelier, giving it a European mountain resort.
Set on slopes of the French ski resort of Megeve, the hotel is set to make its debut on December 15 offering 55 rooms including 14 suites in a property designed as a “modern interpretation” of a traditional Alpine resort.
It will stay open until April 15 for the winter season before reopening from June 1 to September 30 for the summer.
Four Seasons Hotel Megeve will also become the new home for the established Le 1920 restaurant, which has two Michelin stars under chef Julien Gatillon.
There will be four other food and beverage venues within the hotel, as well as a spa and fitness centre, plus heated indoor-outdoor pool.
Four Seasons will provide guests with an in-house ski concierge and ski valet services in winter, while during summer there will be “preferred” access to the Mont d’Arbois Golf Course.
The hotel group is offering a deal to celebrate its opening with discounts of 20 per cent on regular room rates for stays during the property’s first winter season. The offer is available for a “limited time only”.
