Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is to sail from Plymouth for the first time next summer, with the line revealing itineraries for its maiden cruises from the south-west port.
CMV will offer five voyages onboard Marco Polo, with fares starting from just £69pp for an overnight weekend from Plymouth to Portsmouth on 11 September.
Other itineraries include a six-night cruise around the Isle of Wight on 19 August with a chance to see the Bournemouth Air Show, before sailing along the Seine to Rouen. Fares are available from £489pp.
Mike Hall, marketing director, said: “We are delighted to put Plymouth on our cruise map, for our first operating season in 2021. We appreciate that many of our passengers prefer to cruise from their own local port, so our focus on regionality is key.
“Passengers in the local area can take advantage of less travel time and the expense of having to journey further afield to start the holiday.”
More cruises featured in the programme include a seven-night sailing visiting Antwerp, Rouen, Honfleur and Rotterdam, leading in from £569pp, while a 14-night Baltic itinerary which offers an overnight call into St Petersburg together with a transit of the Kiel Canal from £1,089pp.
