Cruise.co.uk has appointed two new managing directors to the group amid plans to grow its brands.
Chief executive Seamus Conlon said a number of changes to the senior leadership team were taking place “as we seek to strengthen our team and increase our focus on growing the various brands and building a supportive group structure”.
Former managing director for consumer rights organisation Which?, Chris Gardner, has become managing director of Cruise.co.uk in the UK, while Frank Riecke has been appointed managing director of German OTA, Kreuzfahrtberater.de, owned by Cruise.co.uk.
Gardner led the commercial and publishing side of Which?, where he worked for 12 years.
“In his time there Chris substantially enhanced the organisation’s content marketing and membership platforms and built their mortgage broking business into one of the largest independents in the UK by focusing on the independent advice Which?’s consultants could give,” Conlon said in a letter to colleagues.
Riecke has a wealth of experience in the german tourism industry, including leading A-Rosa, Tui Interactive and Opodo, and founding and running the OTA Tropo.
Elsewhere, Andreas Koester-Clobes, one of the founders and managing directors of KFB, has decided to leave the company to focus full time on a new venture.
Both of the new managing directors will report into Conlon.
