Proper pampering
Gold Medal has added Vietnamese property Fusion Maia Resort to its south-east Asia portfolio. Highlights include an all-inclusive spa where guests receive two treatments per day. Seven nights in a Pool Villa with flights start from £2,399pp.


Cambodian connoisseur
The Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap will reopen in October 2019 following renovations. Rooms have been updated, while the property’s most beloved spaces, including the Elephant Bar and Cafe d’Angkor, have been modernised.



Beach treat
Premier Holidays has introduced two hotels in Bophut Beach, Koh Samui, to its 2020 Faraway brochure: the Peace Resort and Anantara Bophut Koh Samui. Prices start from £1,189pp and £1,379pp respectively for travel up to March 2021.



Singapore bling
Small Luxury Hotels of the World’s latest member, The Outpost Hotel Sentosa, has now opened. Occupying a heritage area in Singapore, facilities and experiences include themed pool zones, limousine transfers and city tours.


Temple run
Pagodas and Philanthropy (from £12,000pp), a new tour from Niquesa Travel, comprises Cambodia’s ancient temples, behind-the-scenes access to conservation projects, helicopter transfers and dinner hosted by a private chef.



Luxury living
Remote Lands has a new, commissionable 14-day tour. The Bensley Trail Expedition will visit Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam, stopping at four of Bensley’s luxury resorts. Departing 16 February to 1 March 2020 from £29,125pp.


Local touches
Banyan Tree Bintan has launched the new Kelong Villa. Named in tribute to local Indonesian fishing platforms, guests begin their stay by boarding a pokchai boat before relaxing with a footbath and traditional meal.


Wild things
If Only has created a number of south-east Asian multi-centre itineraries designed to bring clients closer to nature. It offers a nine-night Thailand beach and jungle family escape from £1,499pp, which includes an ethical elephant experience.



Fight club
St Regis Bangkok has launched a new wellness programme incorporating Thai boxing. Classes cost from £35 per hour. Clients can also opt for a nutritional consultation with the executive chef to create a customised meal programme.
