Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has appointed Geoff Ridgeon as the line’s new head of sales replacing Mike Evans, who is retiring after 27 years with the company.
Ridgeon, who will take up the new role on May 7 following Evans’ retirement on April 26, will report to sales and marketing director Justin Stanton.
For the past 11 years, Ridgeon has been head of cruise for Fred Olsen Travel and has been with the company for a total of 22 years.
“I am delighted to be taking on this exciting new challenge, and I look forward to bringing my 14 years of travel agency experience to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, which will stand us in good stead in growing our relationships with the trade,” said Ridgeon.
“Of course, I will be sad to leave Fred Olsen Travel and GoCruise, where I have enjoyed a long and varied career, but I am thrilled to be joining another thriving part of the Fred Olsen business.”
