Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has rolled out a new river cruise training programme and is offering agents the chance to win a sailing for two to celebrate the launch.
The e-learning tool went live earlier this month and allows the trade to hone their knowledge of the line’s river product – following the launch of its first river ship Brabant earlier this year.
Brabant has sailed the Danube, Main, Moselle and Rhine since entering service in April.
The European River Cruising Online Training Programme features five modules focusing on life onboard Brabant, destinations and key experiences and guest services. It also includes a section on how to book, complete with videos, images and downloadable documents with useful information.
The education programme is available on Fred’s Travel Agent Centre, which includes virtual tours of the line’s ocean and river ships.
Fred is offering one agent who completes all five modules by October 31 the chance to win a sailing onboard Brabant with free flights and a dining and drinks upgrade.
All agents who go on to make a booking will receive £20 in shopping vouchers after they email cruise.sales@fredolsen.co.uk with their booking reference number and course certificate, which can be downloaded on completion of all five modules.
They will also be automatically entered into the prize draw for the cruise.
Mike Evans, head of sales, said: “It is paramount that those selling our river cruises really understand the product that we offer, how we operate and how this differs from our ocean cruises.”
