Fred River Cruises has become the official UK general sales agent for American Cruise Lines “introducing UK audiences to a wide array of US river cruises”.
Fred River Cruises – part of Fred Olsen Travel – said American Cruise Lines offered three different ship styles – modern riverboats, coastal cruise ships and paddlewheelers, and itineraries across the whole of the US.
American Cruise Lines features 35 sailings across 25 states, with cruises lasting from 5-22 days.
Its 2019 programme “sees the introduction of the first ever modern riverboats in the US”. Leading the fleet will be American Song, a 184-passenger riverboat which will sail its maiden voyage from New Orleans on the October 6, 2018. It will be closely followed by the introduction of American Harmony, which will begin sailing along the Mississippi in early 2019.
All sailings can be booked with transatlantic flights as well as pre and/or post hotel stays.
Managing director of Fred Olsen Travel and Fred River Cruises, Steve Williams, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed to represent American Cruise Lines in the UK.
“The quality of their ships and the range of exciting itineraries they offer across the United States provides a great opportunity for Fred River Cruise, in conjunction with our UK trade partners, to build awareness and grow the number of UK clients experiencing this wonderful product.”
