A Leeds travel agent has raised more than £5,000 for Caribbean islands hit by hurricanes last year.
Worldwide Travel Solutions raised a total of £5,451.82 for the Caribbean Hurricane Relief Fund by holding a charity ball.
The money will now be used to help islands which are continuing to rebuild themselves in the wake of the Hurricanes Irma and Maria which struck in September last year.
The agency’s owner Sharon May said: “My agency specialises in holidays and flights to the Caribbean and many of my loyal customers have been personally affected with their relatives and family members still unable to return to a normal way of life with many still without clean water or electricity.
"There is a very large Caribbean community in Leeds, so I decided to try and help raise much needed funds for the relief effort”.
