Cork Airport is launching a new daily Air France flight to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Using an Embraer 170, the route will run from May 26 through to October 27, bringing in an additional 33,750 seats, writes Ayla Soguksu.
The aircraft will depart Cork for the one hour 50 minute flight at 4.30pm, arriving in Paris at 7.20pm local time. The return leg sees the aircraft leave the French capital at 2.55pm, landing in Ireland at 3.50pm.
General manager of Air France-KLM UK and Ireland Benedicte Duval said: “The new service not only links Cork to the French capital and the rest of Europe, but it provides passengers with the opportunity to connect to our extensive network of over 180 exciting worldwide destinations.”
The managing director of Cork Airport Niall MacCarthy agreed those looking to fly further afield will benefit from the airline’s further connections to destinations like Brazil, Mauritius and Mexico.
He added: “Ireland is ranked as the fourth most popular destination with the French and the new service from Cork will further grow inbound tourism from this key continental market to counties across the south of Ireland.”
Prices for the service will lead in at €129.
