The administrators for All Leisure Holidays Group (ALG) have sold the Voyager cruise ship to a Mexican firm as it continues to dispose of the group’s assets.
Voyager, which operated under ALG’s Voyages of Discovery brand, finished its final cruise in Port Kelang, Malaysia on January 4 and was then docked in Singapore for around two months.
Administrator Eddie Williams, from Grant Thornton, confirmed to TTG: “The sale process completed in early March and Voyager was sold to a third-party Mexican purchaser. The exact terms of the deal are confidential.”
While Voyager was docked in Singapore, the administrators had to pay for the day-to-day management of the ship, including the provision of supplies and maintenance.
An update for creditors made public this month confirmed that G Adventures had paid £575,000 for the customer database and brands of Voyages of Discovery and Swan Hellenic. Currently G Adventures intends to revive Swan Hellenic as a brand using a new ship in 2018.
G Adventures purchased ALG’s tour operators Travelsphere and Just You for £625,000 in December as part of a “pre-pack” administration deal.
