Uniworld has appointed former Scenic and Emerald Waterways head of sales Angela Sloan as its new key accounts manager.
Sloan joins the line from World Travel Holdings UK where she was head of product and commercial.
She will take up her role as part of an expanded trade team of five led by UK managing director Chris Townson on Monday (April 8).
Reporting to national sales manager Rachel Healey, Sloan will be responsible for managing Uniworld’s existing trade partnerships and building relationships with new accounts.
Her on-the-road role will see her visit agents and partners, and communicate the differences between Uniworld and sister line U.
Prior to her five years with Scenic and Emerald Waterways, Sloan has held roles with Thomas Cook, Bourne Leisure, MyTravel and British Airways.
Said Townson: “Angela and I worked together at Scenic, where she grew our partner relationships to new levels. She’s a senior operator, bringing phenomenal experience, sales acumen and contacts with her.
[She] has come to work with us as key account manager while she balances life with her young son George. I have no doubt our partners will be very excited to see her join the team.”
Sloan added: “I’m looking forward to getting straight out to market, sharing the Uniworld and U story and differences with all relevant agents from my existing contacts book and beyond.”
