British Airways has temporarily cut capacity on its Heathrow-Hong Kong route owing to the ongoing Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak in neighbouring China.
A BA spokesperson confirmed to TTG the carrier has merged its double-daily Hong Kong service “to match demand”. The change, effective from Thursday (13 February), will be kept under review.
Affected customers will be rebooked onto the operational service. BA said with its existing inbound flights scheduled within 15 minutes of each other and outbound two-and-a-half hours apart, it didn’t anticipate any significant impact on its customers’ travel plans.
Customers will be able to take a refund or rebook to a late date, if necessary.
