Carnival Cruise Line has taken delivery of its newest ship the Carnival Vista.
The 133,500-tonne will be able to carry 3,954 passengers once it has moved to Trieste in Italy.
Having departed for its maiden voyage on May 1, it will spend the summer season in Europe until October 2016.
It will then make a 13-day transatlantic crossing and operate two 11-day cruises out of New York before launching a year-round Caribbean service out of Miami in November.
Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said: “Carnival Vista is a spectacular addition to our fleet and we can’t wait for our guests to experience all of the ship’s exciting new features.
“Carnival Vista will provide our guests with an opportunity to create a lifetime of wonderful holiday memories while offering our valued travel agent partners another exciting holiday option to market to their clients.”
