Apex will debut in Southampton in April 2020 featuring Edge Staterooms with Infinite Verandas and two-story Edge Villas with outdoor plunge pools, as well as 29 culinary venues.
The ship will offer a mini season of five sailings to European destinations, including the Norwegian Fjords and the northern coasts of Spain and Portugal.
Itineraries will include a new 10-night Capital Cities Cruise with visits to cities including Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Oslo and Paris.
After Apex’s northern Europe mini season, it will spend the rest of its inaugural summer sailing seven- to 12-night itineraries.
During its peak season, Apex will sail in the western Mediterranean from Barcelona and Rome, offering a range of itineraries and visiting ports, including Naples, Florence, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Palma one way; and Valencia, Ibiza, Provence, Nice, and Florence the other way.
The ship will also make special visits to Lisbon and Valletta.
During that summer Celebrity Edge will join its sister ship, Apex, in the Medi and offer a full season of sailings in the eastern region and Adriatic.
On 10- and 11-night itineraries, Edge will take travellers to Trieste, where they will stay overnight and spend two days, providing the opportunity to explore Trieste and Venice all in one stop.
Edge will also transport travellers to the Amalfi Coast, Malta, and the Greek islands.
