Celebrity Cruises has revealed the 22,000 square-foot Kelly Hoppen-designed Spa on Celebrity Edge.
The facility will offer more than 124 treatments and boasts a Hammam, salt room, steam room and rainfall water therapy room. There is also an infrared sauna and float room, with heated tile loungers for post-treatment relaxation.
Other features include the first line of Elemis Biotec facials ever offered on a Celebrity Cruises ship and a men’s barbers offering hot shaves.
“Our vision for The Spa was the same aspiration we have for Celebrity Edge – to provide our guests with a deeper and more profound connection to the sea,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Celebrity president and chief executive.
“To start the revolution in relaxation, we turned once again to the visionary Kelly Hoppen to completely transform the spa experience, and develop an atmosphere that soothes the soul from the moment guests walk in,” she added.
The ship’s maiden voyage will be on December 1 from Fort Lauderdale.
Celebrity Edge will spend her inaugural season sailing alternating seven-night eastern and western Caribbean cruise itineraries, before moving to the Mediterranean. A range of seven to 11-night sailings from cities including Barcelona and Rome will begin in 2019. Celebrity Edge will be joined by three sister ships in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
