Club Med has created a new head of sales – trade and MICE role for UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, following the departure of Yann Richard after nine years.
Armand Guillemot, previously head of sales for Meetings and Events by Club Med, has been appointed into the overarching new role after a restructure of the agency sales and meetings and events departments.
He has been with the resort operator for three years and has previously worked at World Wide Events and Great Hotels of the World
Club Med said it had seen a 35% year-on-year growth in “indirect sales” across summer and winter bookings, and described the growth figures as “in line with the increased trend for more travel agents booking leisure groups”.
It is hoped the new sales team structure will ensure Club Med continues to provide a “superior service to agents”.
