Collette’s senior vice-president of global business has pledged to support UK managing director Carl Burrows and head of marketing Michelle Laverick after their jobs were put at risk.
Christian Leibl-Cote told TTG the decision to put the two roles under consultation followed the launch of a restructure of the business that began in Canada “over a year ago”.
“Essentially we did a restructure. It went well for us [in Canada],” he said. “We had the best year we’ve ever had.
“We want to do the same thing for the UK and unfortunately we had to put Carl and Michelle’s jobs at risk.
“That is unfortunate, and we’ll support them as much as we can.”
The UK office will now be led by head of UK sales Neil Sehmbhy, with the team reporting to Leibl-Cote.
Both Laverick and Burrows have been in their roles for more than two years.
