Millennial travellers can now drop their beloved pot plants off at Contiki’s central London basement before jetting off on their holidays.
The youth-focused operator has launched a summer “plant sitting” service for clients, promising to keep them out of the summer sun and well topped up with water.
The service is available to clients aged 18 to 35 travelling on a Contiki trip of 10 days or longer, departing and ending at Contiki’s London basement, through to the end of August.
House plants no taller than one metre are eligible, and the service is limited to two per person.
Clients must agree to their plants starring in Instagram photoshoots in their absence, and any plants that pass away during a trip will be replaced by a new sprouting.
Any plants left behind will be adopted by a plant-loving member of the Contiki team.
The operator has also, alternatively, come up with a five-point guide to keeping plants safe over the summer before heading off holiday, which is found here.
