Cox & Kings has taken advantage of a number of new British Airways flights to South and Central America as part of its “revamped” tours to the regions.
The operator will offer itineraries to Peru, Costa Rica and Brazil in its 2017 Latin America brochure – which also includes a new solo travellers group tour to Chile (right) and Argentina.
The new tours will make use of three new BA routes to South America: the twice-weekly service from Gatwick to the Costa Rican capital San Jose which was launched in May; a non-stop service to Lima, Peru, which the carrier is due to fly
three times a week until October; and the Chilean capital of Santiago, which BA will operate from January next year.
As a result of the new routes, Cox & Kings’ new South America product includes an 11-day “Peru in Luxury” private tour featuring an overnight ride on the Belmond Andean Explorer sleeper train from Puno to Cuzco, and a stay in a lodge on a private peninsula on Lake Titicaca, priced from £3,895pp.
The operator has also added a Wonders of Chile & Argentina itinerary, during which travellers will enjoy a welcome dinner and activities in Santiago before exploring the Torres del Paine national park.
Guests will then take an Andean Lake crossing from the city of Puerto Varas into Argentina, concluding the tour in Buenos Aires. The 15-day itinerary is available from £4,295pp.
Also new to the programme is a Natural Wonders of Panama and Costa Rica trip. The tour includes a stay in the rainforest and a cruise along the Panama Canal, with visits to the country’s coffee-growing areas and volcanoes. The tour is priced from £2,995pp and lasts 14 days.
Cox & Kings’ Latin America product manager Vessela Baleva said: “Latin America has long been a favourite destination for Cox & Kings’ clients, and we’re expecting this popularity will increase even more with the ease of access.”
