French river line CroisiEurope is opening up cruises on the Volga to the UK market for the first time.
The eight-day sailings between Moscow and St Petersburg will operate between May and September 2017.
Visits will include calls at Uglich, Goritsy, Kizhi and Mandrogi, with highlights including a guided tour of the Kremlin, St Basil’s Cathedral and the headquarters of the KGB, as well as a panoramic tour of St Petersburg.
Meanwhile entertainment will include a Russian tea ceremony, classical music concert and Russian tea ceremony.
The cruise takes place on the 106-passenger Rostropovitch, with six departures in 2017.
