Crystal will partner with The Peninsula Hotels for Crystal AirCruises’ maiden journey.
The ultra-luxury Boeing 777-200LR jet will depart on August 31 2017 for the 27-day The Peninsula Grand Inaugural Crystal AirCruise trip.
It will fly from New York to Paris, stopping in 10 cities where guests will embark on “cultural, culinary and exhilarating adventures”.
Crystal guests will be welcomed by The Peninsula Hotels in each destination with exclusive events that showcase the locations.
Special events will include four galas, beginning with a rooftop cocktail reception in New York; a private party and dinner on the Great Wall of China in Beijing; a Loy Krathong “Festival of Lights” celebration at The Peninsula Bangkok; and in Tokyo guests will be given a private performance of the ancient art of Kabuki.
The programme will conclude in Paris, form where guests will be taken to the Champagne region for a private lunch.
Prices for the voyage will start at $159,000 per person.
Crystal chief executive and president, Edie Rodriguez, said: “For more than two decades and throughout our tremendous expansion, our guests continue to expect innovative experiences and new heights of luxury with their Crystal holidays.
“Crystal AirCruises will offer these with our signature meticulous service and attention to detail.”
Simon Yip, vice president of sales, The Peninsula Hotels, added: “Two world class brands are partnering to create the ultimate global journey.
“We couldn’t imagine a more perfect partner than Crystal to offer a guest experience reminiscent of the historical grand tours, now elevated to include a private air experience unlike any other, paired with our incredible hotels and bespoke destination programmes.”
As an introduction to each city, The Peninsula Hotels will arrange a welcome cocktail reception hosted by a “local insider” – from artists and gallerists to fashion and jewellery designers – who will share their first-hand knowledge of the city’s cultural heartbeat.
Crystal Exclusive Class in the aircraft will be designed for maximum personal space and ergonomic comfort, and convert to 180-degree, lie-flat beds.
There will be a social lounge with stand-up bar and dedicated table seating, the cuisine will be prepared by a dedicated executive chef in two state-of-the-art galleys and paired with a premium wine list.
Bookings can be made from November 1.
