Disabled-accessible hotels platform Accomable has partnered with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) to showcase hundreds of accessible rooms.
Through the Accomable website, disabled and elderly travellers will be able to see and book accessible rooms at hotels from across IHG’s portfolio of more than 5,000 properties worldwide.
Currently featuring more than 700 specially-adapted properties in more than 60 countries, Accomable anticipates this new partnership will see the number of accessible properties on their site grow to more than 2,500 by the end of the year.
Srin Madipalli, chief executive at Accomable, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with IHG.
“Having such a highly regarded major hotel group onboard will enable us to offer hundreds more options to our customers in key destinations across Europe.
“It’s brilliant news for any traveller with a mobility issue, who will soon be able to choose from specially adapted rooms across hundreds of IHG hotels, including some of the UK’s best known brands, the Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.
“Collaborating with major hotel brands is part of our focused strategy to ensure we can offer our customers the biggest range of quality, accessible holiday accommodation worldwide.
“We’re already working with the sector to improve accessibility to these properties.”
